1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using WeZioo, you accept these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you should not use WeZioo.
You declare that you are of legal age according to the law of your country of residence, or using WeZioo under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
2. Service Description
WeZioo is an application for organizing and tracking expenses (individual and shared), synchronizing your bank accounts via a certified provider, adding transfers, custom categories, recurring transactions, and other features aimed at simplifying budget management as a couple.
Some features are available for free, others via a WeZioo+ subscription. The functional scope may evolve (addition, modification, removal of features) for technical, security or service improvement reasons.
3. Financial Disclaimer - Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT: WeZioo is a budget management tool, not a financial advisor.
This clause is essential to understanding the nature of the service provided.
- Nature of the service: WeZioo is exclusively a tool for tracking and organizing your personal finances. The application does not provide any financial, tax, legal or investment advice.
- No liability for your decisions: We disclaim all liability for financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the application. You are solely responsible for your budgetary and financial choices.
- Disputes between users: WeZioo cannot be held responsible for disagreements, conflicts or disputes arising between you and your partner (or any other user with whom you share a space) regarding financial management, expense sharing or any other financial matter.
- Data accuracy: Calculations, balances and statistics displayed are based solely on the data you enter. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this information if the input data is incomplete or incorrect.
- Professional consultation: For any important financial decision, we recommend consulting a qualified professional (financial advisor, accountant, lawyer).
4. Account & Security
- Accuracy: you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Confidentiality: keep your credentials confidential and notify us immediately in case of unauthorized access.
- Eligibility: we may refuse, suspend or delete an account in case of non-compliance with the Terms or security risks.
5. Bank Synchronization
5.1 Technical Provider
The bank synchronization feature is provided by Powens (formerly Budget Insight), a provider certified under PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) by the ACPR and the Bank of France. Powens acts as a technical data processor within the meaning of GDPR.
5.2 How It Works
When you activate bank synchronization, you authorize Powens to access your banking data in read-only mode. WeZioo then retrieves transaction information (amounts, dates, descriptions, categories) to integrate them into your expense tracking. No banking operation (transfer, payment, etc.) can be initiated from WeZioo.
5.3 Consent and Activation
Bank synchronization is an optional feature. It is only activated at your express request. You can deactivate it and delete the connection at any time from the application settings.
5.4 Credential Protection
WeZioo never has access to your banking credentials (login, password, authentication codes). This information is transmitted directly to Powens via a secure connection and does not pass through WeZioo's servers.
5.5 Visibility Controls
You retain full control over synchronized data. In particular, you can:
- • Hide certain transactions so they are not visible to your partner;
- • Choose which bank accounts to synchronize;
- • Keep your bank balances confidential.
These privacy settings can be changed at any time.
5.6 Liability
WeZioo shall not be held liable for interruptions, errors or unavailability of the synchronization service attributable to Powens or financial institutions. In the event of synchronization malfunction, manually entered data in WeZioo remains accessible and is not affected.
IMPORTANT
Bank synchronization is a read-only information aggregation service. WeZioo and Powens cannot under any circumstances initiate transactions on your bank accounts.
6. Subscriptions & Payments (WeZioo+)
App Store / Play Store Compliance
WeZioo+ is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or annual) via the App Store (Apple) and/or Google Play. Billing and payment management are handled exclusively by these platforms. Apple and Google's terms and policies apply.
6.1 Subscription Content
WeZioo+ provides access, during the subscription period, to premium features (examples: advanced custom categories, extended recurring expenses, improved transfers, multi-currency, smart alerts/notifications, etc.). Details may evolve; the current list is shown in the app before purchase.
6.2 Available Plans
- Monthly: access to WeZioo+ features for 1 month, with automatic renewal every month until cancellation.
- Annual: access for 12 months, with automatic renewal every year until cancellation.
6.3 Free Trial
A 7-day free trial may be offered to new users. At the end of this period, the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription (monthly or annual depending on your initial choice), unless cancelled before the end of the trial period.
6.4 Payment Management
All payments are processed exclusively by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). WeZioo does not have access to your payment information (credit card, account, etc.). For any questions regarding billing, charges or payment methods, you must contact Apple or Google support directly.
7. Free Trials, Renewal, Cancellation
- Free trial (7 days): at the end of the trial period, the subscription automatically becomes paid, unless cancelled before the end of the trial. You will be notified before conversion.
- Renewal: the subscription automatically renews at the end of each period, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Management & cancellation: to be done from your App Store account (Apple) or Google Play account (Android): platform subscription settings, not in the WeZioo app.
- Charges: payment is charged to the payment method associated with your platform account upon purchase confirmation (and at each renewal).
Important: deleting the app does not stop the subscription. Remember to cancel from your Apple or Google account if you do not wish to renew.
8. Pricing, Taxes & Refunds
Displayed prices include applicable taxes when required. Price may vary depending on geographic area, currency and local taxation. The amount charged is the one shown at the time of purchase confirmation on the platform.
8.1 Billing Disputes
Refund requests and any billing disputes are handled exclusively by Apple or Google depending on the purchase platform. WeZioo cannot:
- • Access your payment information;
- • Directly process a refund;
- • Modify billing terms set by the platforms.
For any billing dispute, contact the relevant platform's support directly.
9. User Content
You remain the owner of your content (expenses, notes, attachments, etc.). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive and revocable license to host and process this content in order to operate WeZioo and provide its features. You warrant that you have the necessary rights to the content you record.
10. Intellectual Property
WeZioo, its name, logo, graphic elements, texts, interfaces, as well as the code and databases, are protected by intellectual property rights. No property rights are transferred to you. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification, distribution or exploitation is prohibited.
11. Personal Data & Privacy
Our data collection and processing practices are described in our Privacy Policy. By using WeZioo, you consent to the processing necessary to provide the service, under the conditions described.
You have rights (access, rectification, deletion, objection, portability, etc.) within the limits provided by applicable law. The exercise procedures are described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Prohibited Uses
- • Alter or disrupt the operation of the app;
- • Attempt to access without authorization the systems or data of others;
- • Upload illegal, defamatory, counterfeit, malicious content, or content that infringes the rights of third parties;
- • Use WeZioo in a manner contrary to the law or these Terms;
- • Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to extract data from the service.
13. Suspension, Termination & Account Deletion
We may suspend or terminate access to the service in case of violation of the Terms or risks to the security/integrity of the platform. You may stop using WeZioo at any time. Termination does not automatically cancel an ongoing subscription (see section 7).
13.1 Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the application settings.
13.2 Data Retention After Deletion
After your account is deleted, your personal data is retained for a period of three (3) months from the date of deletion. During this period, your data is deactivated and no longer accessible. This retention period allows:
- • Recovery of your account in case of accidental deletion;
- • Processing of any pending claims or disputes;
- • Compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations.
13.3 Permanent Deletion
Upon expiration of the three (3) month period, your personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers and those of our processors, including bank synchronization data.
Exceptions are made for data we are legally required to retain (subscription records: 5 years, security logs: up to 12 months, data required by ongoing legal proceedings).
13.4 Bank Synchronization Data
Upon account deletion or deactivation of bank synchronization, WeZioo requests Powens to delete your banking connections and associated data. This deletion is effective within a reasonable timeframe depending on Powens' procedures.
14. Warranties & Limitation of Liability
14.1 Service Provided "As Is"
WeZioo is provided "as is" and "as available". Subject to mandatory legal provisions, we provide no warranty, express or implied, including regarding:
- • Fitness of the service for a particular purpose;
- • Complete absence of errors, bugs or interruptions;
- • Permanent or uninterrupted availability of the service;
- • Compatibility with all devices or operating systems.
14.2 No Availability Guarantee (SLA)
WeZioo does not commit to any guaranteed service level (SLA). The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We strive to ensure reasonable availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
14.3 Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, WeZioo and its officers, employees, partners shall not be liable for:
- • Indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages;
- • Loss of data, profits, revenue or business opportunities;
- • Damages resulting from use or inability to use the service;
- • Damages resulting from events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure, third-party platform failures, etc.).
In any case, WeZioo's total liability, whatever the cause, shall be limited to the amount you actually paid for the service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
14.4 Exceptions
The above limitations do not apply to the extent that applicable law does not permit their exclusion or limitation, particularly regarding consumer rights in the European Union.
15. Terms Modifications
We may update these Terms for legal, technical or operational reasons. In case of substantial modification, we will inform you by reasonable means (in-app notification, email). Continued use of WeZioo after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory provisions more favorable to the consumer in their country of residence.
In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action. Failing that, French courts shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory jurisdictional rules applicable to consumers.
